Soprano olive oil from Sicily

Soprano olive oil is produced in the village of Dattilo near the town of Trapani in the west of the Mediterranean Island of Sicily by Maria Greco. Maria set out to produce an extra virgin olive oil typical of her area of Sicily that would be free from artificial production methods and additives and the result is a truly excellent olive oil.

The olives are handpicked from the trees and not allowed to come in to contact with the ground, they are then sent directly to the mill for processing which is strictly by using the cold press method.

This lovely olive oil is yellow in colour with hints of green and has a distinct aroma, being full bodied with a peppery finish and a very low level of acidity.
